Timothy Fitzgerald is an emerging artist based in Brisbane. Working in watercolour and mixed media, he studied painting from an early age under the tutelage of the late, well-known Australian water-colourist, Thomas Offord. A painter of figurative, still life and landscapes, Fitzgerald’s current work is inspired by domestic time-capsule spaces, the male form, his homosexuality, and relationship to anxiety and depression. Timothy was selected as a finalist in the 2016 Tweed Regional Gallery – Tweed Shire Border Art Prize, and in the 2015 Newcastle Cooks Hill Galleries ‘We Get By’ Emerging Artist Competition. Currently he is the Senior Graphic Designer for Bundaberg Ginger Beer. Runs his own design studio start up, and is an emerging writer. He loves cats.
